mumbai blast

Post  dhivya on Thu Dec 04, 2008 12:05 pm

Terror should b fought by us. But we don’t hav control in a democracy over our borders.
But we can do more elsewhere, we hav to mak sure that border policies and rules r implemented and followed properly. Evry INDIAN should think and vote for a person who wil mak this happen.
I hope this blast s a lesson for us and wil mak evry one of us to thnk and elect a proper leader for our country.JAI HIND...

fine looking at all the points above, its again easy to blame people. this again amounts to blame game and nothing short of it. do you guys realize that. for that matter all that was said and done by the public in the wake of the blasts and the media channels are all nothing but balem game.

come on people, the moment you hear the news your heart really sinks I understand that but does one think practically. No good leaders?? Who made these leaders guys. You, me and our fellow Indians. You do half you duty they enjoy their lives. The other half goes untouched. Does one realize the fact that they infact are our civil service members. Well, we really don't bother after the elections and then blame them for their inactions. If one questions them why won't they do it.

At this point I draw an inspiration from this tamil movie, Thennavan. There is the same case of political corruptness and etc. But then there is a point which really strikes. Gaptan, for those who don't know Vijayakanth, does an election officer surprisingly neutral and one who does good for the people, makes five points which i dont remember to remove these elements from politics. He infact inspires people to boycott an assembly election. I really dont know how of this is possible in reality but I think even if 5% of those points are carried out we would be in a better position.

Let the youth take over the politics.Atleast they ll act quickly.not like these people who fight for small reasons and blame others.they dont take responsibilty..the quitting of our ministers are just an eye wash..they dont care about the people but care for their positions.our cheif minister is also the same.

polticians r public servants!!

Post  vignesh on Thu Dec 04, 2008 10:51 pm

1.the one feeling that is very much forgotten is politicians are public servants..v pay for their security,etc..etc..
2.if a dept doesnt perform well, what ll a customer do?if u r not given due service for the money, dont v complain?the same situation now..the politicians r elected by us..no doubt..but if they fail, who must correct?whose responsibility is it to rectify the mistake?if thats us,then how to make electoral system which makes politicians more accountable?
3.y the hell r the politicians insensitive to the grief of the public?

There was a party started by IITians last year if I am not wrong .. It fizzled out because of internal politics .. !! .. There was fight among the party as to who should lead and things like that .. I am not sure how much of this is true ..

The Lok Paritran Tragedy

Post  Viswajith on Mon Dec 08, 2008 11:18 pm

MSK, you got it right again da..

It was the Lok Paritran... they were formed way back in 2004 during the Lok Sabha polls.. they apparently started of well but then the internal politics didn't do an good for their idea... Result, it BOMBED....!!!!

Naga, would you in any chance do whatever u said da... lead people into that movement... if not then its easy to put up thought da but certainly not easy to execute... Its not like cricket where u lead a bunch of 'show stoppers' where the captain is the least important man when it comes to crisis situation if u r not in action... but other fields are totally different... if one cud handle all the demons then this movement wud have erupted long back...

The question is can u guys ever start off a strike for any reason in NIT which has valid back up... when u cant lead a bunch of 'level heads' why the hell then talk about leading a nation of a billion plus people...

I again reiterate, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS... I connotate another saying but I am refraining myself from that... Its not that easy easy like a Michael who can transform people da... There are may more people like Inba who work for the heads, who stop us... All is nice to see in a movie but not practical...

Here it is at last!

Post  nerve_ece on Wed Dec 10, 2008 10:50 pm

I thought this would be the first topic of the forum if created after the blasts!
I agree with the above member in that "ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS".
Guys! Its time for us to think practical instead of discussing who was responsible or what measures can be done theoretically.
For instance put yourself in the shoes of a victim's kin in Taj Hotel incident. How would u react?
What steps on a personal front would u take to instill confidence in ppl and act against terrorism?
What best can u do with the technological advances?
These are some questions each member must ask for himself.
